Courses

We really wanted to make our tai chi, qigong and wellbeing sets within the Chi Forward Programme easy to follow, rewarding and fun. So we came up with our three pathways to help guide you through the courses.  Each course will show you the basics of the set/form and will give you a great starting point before you explore the many other video lessons regularly being posted within the membership area.

Our courses are accessed via the Chi Forward membership programme and we have 27 planned out to be released periodically on our roadmap so there will be plenty for you to explore and enjoy.

The three pathways are represented by the turquoise, green and blue colours and you can choose a pathway at a time or mix and match, they are just there simply as a guide.

Take a look at the diagram and the courses next to be released will appear below. Touch or hover on each course for a description and a link to a blog article on each form/set.

We created the calm energy focus qigong with our motto in mind – ‘Move through the day’. This set is designed to fit into any moment you have in your day. When you need to relax, stretch and re-energise and want to regain focus when your mind starts to wander, this qigong set is ideal.

It is very gentle so the warm up and warm down is built in. The whole set can be done in around three minutes or longer if you wish with more repetitions. You can also use the calm moves, energy moves or focus moves on their own or do one from each to make smaller shorter sets.

We created this form with the beginner in mind. As the name suggests all the movements are facing forward which makes it very easy to follow as you can see the instructor at all times. Very quickly you can start to feel the benefits and wonders of tai chi.

In this great introduction to tai chi you will learn nine movements from Yang style and the focus is to just get the feeling, postures and flow of this strong style of tai chi – and of course to enjoy doing the form to music. Later this form can be looped and or joined with the Sun 9 and Chen 9 forms to really get sunk into the holistic feeling of practicing tai chi.

The Physical and Emotional Development programme (PEDP) contains short qigong sets to help children/people with disabilities develop in five key areas – Awareness, Balance, Coordination, Core Strength and Self-Regulation. Repetition of these easy to follow moves can help develop personal skills in focused areas such as body awareness, weight transference, posture and emotional awareness.

This programme is great to be used alongside physical and occupational therapy programmes in schools, groups for clients that have disabilities and for home education and is particularly beneficial for children/young adults with disabilities and early years.
